Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue (AWBAR) is operator and owner, Amanda Smith. We are located in Lockport, Illinois. We rehabilitate ducks, raccoons, squirrels, opossums, rabbits, small birds and other small animals.

We rely solely on private donations. AWBAR is NOT a non for profit organization nor is AWBAR attached to any other organization. This is out of love we have for animals.

"“Rehabber" is short for rehabilitator. A rehabilitator is someone who attempts to restore another to a normal or useful life by using education and therapy. Therefore a wildlife rehabber is a unique individual that contributes his or her time and money in the effort of restoring injured or orphaned wild animals.
